WV PopCon is an annual convnention that takes place annually in Morgantown, WV; this year it occured during the August 24-25, 2024 weekend. The WV Extra Life Guild had a booth setup during the weekend where we were encouraging people to sign up and help WVU Medicine Children's Hospital. We also brought the fun with a Plinko Board where players could win actual prizes ranging from games, 3d prints, items, plushies, and more. Most of the prizes were donated by vendors setup at the event as well as Guild VP, Andrew Peggs who has been collecting items for years as prizes for such events. The Guild was able to raise $454 during this weekend.
Additionally, we had a Gashapon Machine that the guild purchases in 2023. For those not familar, Gashapon Machine are coin machines from Japan that contain capsules with toys in them. They are very similiar to coin machines you would fine in grocery stores, arcades, and laundry mats.
The events has a lot of cosplayers running around dressed up as character from all sort of media such as Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel, plenty of anime characters, and some self-made characters.

CharCon 2024 was held in Charleston, WV on July 12-14; each year, Travis and his team welcomes us back and supports us in any ideas we have for fundraising. Last year, we disturbed many games by walking around with a treasure chest to sell raffle tickets, and this year we leveled that up by introducing ConQuests to the convention. Two of our Extra Life Guild Members wrote up a quest that attendees would work through and would end with a major event "Stormed the Castle" event at the end of each night.
Our onsite team consisted of Rebecca, Stephen, Will, Amanda, and Brian. Everyone did a great job and raised $777 during the weekend.
